RPG Opens for Submissions

Announcements

We’re excited to announce the grand opening of the Ruggenheim Permanent Gallery (RPG), a space designed to showcase and celebrate the finest of Trix’s artwork. This is a unique opportunity for collectors to enhance their collections and gain some serious exposure. If you’ve got a Trix print, submit it for consideration. If selected, Trix himself will add a new artistic layer to your print. These transformed pieces will be featured at a special Ruggenheim gallery event. Plus, your NFT will be split into what we're calling a Proof and a Claim. The Proof will live on Bitcoin’s chain as an ordinal and stay safe with the Ruggenheim. The Claim, representing your ownership, can reside on the blockchain of your choice and will be sent straight to your wallet.

“What’s the cost?” you ask. $500 per selected print. “That’s expensive,” you say. Sure, if you’ve lost your ass on memecoins recently like I know some of you have, it might seem that way. But, to break it down again, here’s what you get:

• Trix adds a fresh layer of artistry to your print.

• Your art gets a spot in the RPG among the best of Trix’s works.

• The print is showcased at a gallery event, in front of a hundred or so art enthusiasts.

• You receive a Proof and a Claim – with the Proof staying under the care of the Ruggenheim, and the Claim heading to your wallet.

The selected artworks (you can submit from any series: Point Two, MX, Trix®, BoB, etc) are brought together under one administrative roof in the RPG. Each piece gets its own unique RPG number (like RPG 0001, RPG 0002) for easy tracking and reference. The dual Proof/Claim system is key to keeping each artwork’s integrity and authenticity intact. The Proof links to the artwork’s digital and physical attributes, acting as a permanent record. The Claim, created for each ownership transfer, is held by the owner and ties to their digital identity, including transaction details. When the artwork is sold, the Proof stays put in the Ruggenheim wallet, while a new Claim is minted to reflect the new ownership. Take a look at what Trix has in the pipeline for RPG 0001 below and note that your Proof and Claim might look different depending on the artistic whims of Trix.

"Sounds new, complicated and scary," you think. Not really. It's basically a Certificate of Authenticity and Certificate of Provenance system, like what’s used in the fine art world for physical art. But here, we use blockchain to authenticate you (the owner) and your physical artwork, rather than relying on a forgeable sheet of paper from a traditional gallery. This system creates a direct and continued link between the collector, the artwork, the artist, the Old Money project, and the Ruggenheim.

"Is this necessary?" Not if the art was purely NFTs - this is good when the art is physical. The Ruggenheim can assure any future owners of an RPG print, “Yes, we’ve tracked this piece of art from its inception. We have a record of owners, know how many times it changed hands, and can verify that this piece of art going to you is the real deal." Scammers are plentiful. Some of you mfers have sent your bills to some kid quicker and scammier than you who then flips it for 34 ada.

Anyway, don’t worry. It’s not as complicated as it sounds. It’s just a modern, foolproof way to keep your art genuine and its history clear.
