RPG Guide

How this is all working:

...I'm lost.

Ok. Let's walk through it.

If you own a piece of art from the Old Money project, you can submit it to the Ruggenheim team to be considered for inclusion in the Ruggenheim Permanent Gallery (RPG). If your artwork is selected, it will embark on a transformative journey. The artist, Trix, will alter the physical print, it will be displayed at a Ruggenheim gallery event, and the associated NFT will be converted and split into a Proof and a Claim. The Proof will reside on Bitcoin's chain as an ordinal and will be placed into the custody of the RPG.  The Claim, representing your ownership, can reside on whatever blockchain you prefer and will be sent to your wallet.

That's it in a nutshell.

How much?

$500

$500 isn't nothing.

Agree. To reiterate what you’re getting:

1. Trix adds a physical layer of art to your physical print.

2. Your art is welcomed into the RPG amongst other acknowledged "best of" Trix art.

3. The print is showcased in front of a hundred or so people at a gallery event.

4. You receive a Proof and a Claim, both created by Trix. The Proof remains in the custody of the Ruggenheim, and the Claim is sent to your wallet.

Will you select my print?

We're looking for that winning roll where generative chance kept up with Trix's skills. You'll know it when you see it. Have one of these?

Can I submit from any series?

Yes.

What's the Proof and Claim?

When your artwork is accepted into the RPG, a Proof and Claim are created. The Proof, residing on Bitcoin as an ordinal, is stored in the Ruggenheim’s secure wallet. This ordinal authenticates your print and pulls it into the RPG collection. The Claim, residing on your preferred blockchain, is sent to your wallet and records ownership and transaction history.

Each time the artwork is sold through the Ruggenheim, a new Claim is created and sent to the new owner on the owner's preferred blockchain, capturing their details and linking to their digital identity. The Proof remains in Ruggenheim’s custody throughout the process.

This two-part Proof/Claim system authenticates prints and ownership, verifies sales, and maintains the integrity of ownership records.

This sounds like a COA.

Certificate of authenticity? Sure, we can think of it that way. The Proof acting more like a traditional COA and the Claim doing more to track provenance. Both can be verified on the blockchain and serve to authenticate the art and also the owner.

A slightly similar two-part authentication system, albeit less digital, more boomer, and without transparent ownership history, is used by Banksy's Pest Control.

What happens to the original NFT?

Archived. You’ll send it to the Ruggenheim and we permanently take it out of circulation.

I'm not really into NFTs.

That's fine. Many aren't. If you’re not comfortable managing your ordinal or couldn't care less about NFTs, Ruggenheim will securely hold it for you.

Our keys, still your art.

Can I put my print up for sale?

Yes. We'll mark it for sale at the show if you want and will handle the details and logistics. Commision fee if sold will apply.

Apart from exhibits, remember that you can sell your art at any time you want. Halls of Commerce is designed to give you an official marketplace for your physical prints and associated digital assets, whether they be RPG pieces or otherwise.

Ok. I think I got it:

Trix transforms my Old Money print with a physical degradation, and Ruggenheim authenticates it and logs its ownership on blockchains through the Proof and Claim system.

I’ll receive a Proof and Claim. The Proof sits on BTC and represents and authenticates the artwork, and the Ruggenehim maintains its custody. The Claim represents my ownership stake, and it goes into my wallet on whatever chain I prefer.

This process links the artwork, Trix, the Old Money project, Ruggenheim, and me, ensuring authenticity and preserving value as the print gets bought and sold.

And we can buy and sell at a Ruggenheim exhibit or in the Halls of Commerce.

Yes, well put.
